Episode 29: Vein Problems

In episode 29, John Graybill talks about the brown spots around his ankles. These spots are called Hemosiderin. It started around 2008 with small brown, freckle-like spots in the ankle region. John started an alternative therapy in 2018 called, "Vector", a treatment that Dr. Rhodes from Texas came up with. The machine is designed to increase circulation, which people with muscular dystrophy struggle with. John didn't notice any improvements after one year of the therapy. However, a wound opened up around the ankle, a location where one of the electrodes was placed. John does not contribute the wound to the Vector treatment but the Vector may have brought it about sooner. After seeing his primary doctor, and a dermatologist for 2 months, John was finally sent to a wound clinic. There it was determined that John had a Venous Stasis Ulcer via an ultrasound of his leg. The way to treat this problem is with compression (compression stockings) and elevating the leg above the heart. John is on his way to recovery but if you notice brown spots around your leg, and possibly swelling, this could be a sign that you have a vein problem and it is advised you see your doctor. ______________________________ Connect with John: Website Subscribe on YouTube Email: BLLjenjohn@gmail.com ______________________________ "Desire to Inspire" TKG
