048: How to use "Parts Therapy" to plug your leaks

This is a discussion with a poker player who really wanted to correct mistakes, but it was clear he didn't have a framework for how to do that. I'm not talking about a strategic framework. I'm talking about a mindset framework for how to motivate himself through that process. In this clip, you'll hear me demonstrate a psychotherapy model called internal family Systems ifs also known as parts therapy. It's a model that works very well for people who have never really had a way to connect to emotions. It actually teaches you to view yourself as having different parts operating inside of you. Not all of those parts are in alignment, and by connecting to them through this dialogue, you actually start to find ways to open new doors and integrate the types of imbalances that are creating these mistakes. Check this out. I hope it resonates with you. If you're someone who's really looking for new frameworks for how to work through mistakes, this is the key skill set that allows you to make the shift from a fixed to growth mindset.
