E59: Why we ONLY contract high performers
This clip is taken from a live seminar where I go behind the scenes and give the back story on our recruitment strategy back in 2017 and how it evolved. If you remember, back in 2016, 2017, the first flight of private students we ever took was a losers-only group. It was a fun way to prove concept, but the truth is, once you start to include more players on the team, it's very bad for culture to have low performers disrupting the vibe of the learning environment. This clip gives what I hope is the most transparent take on why we have pivoted to a model that only contracts high performers as of 2023. If you're listening to it and you identify as a high performer, I hope what you take from it is an appreciation for why decisions like this need to be made in order to protect a high-performing container.
