Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick Review
Welcome back to the Bibs Corner Podcast. Today we are bringing you a very late Top Gun review. I promised these a very long time ago and I apologize that these are coming so late. Before watching the new movie I went back and watched the original movie that came out before I was born. All my life I was under the impression that this movie was a classic beloved by all but when I told people I was going to be watching the old movie, they all told me how bad it is. Essentially, they said that the movie did not withstand the test of time but I personally don't see how this was ever seen as a good movie. It was incredibly goofy to me but that's neither here nor there. The more important issue was that there was no real emotion in the movie despite events being there that should have made it emotional. Fast forward and we get a super late sequel to a dry movie, how could they possibly make this worth our time? Well, It's no secret if you've heard me talk about Top Gun: Maverick, they certainly did it.
