Pain Management in LMICs

Dr Wayne Morriss, Consultant Anaesthestist in Christchurch, New Zealand, Director of Programs for the WFSA and co-founder of the ‘Essential Pain Management Course’, discusses his article ‘Pain Management in Low- and Middle-Income Countries’, published in the September 2018 edition of BJA Education. Dr Morriss helps us navigate this broad subject through introductions to the types of pain problems commonly encountered in low- and middle-income countries, the barriers that exist at both grass-roots and policy-making levels and offers some possible solutions in this interesting podcast.
