Guy Trebay (New York Times) on Do Something

My guest this week is Guy Trebay Guy is an author and reporter for the style section of the New York Times. Guy has written about style and culture since the 1970s, from the Village Voice, Interview magazine, and countless other publications. His recently published memoir, Do Something: Coming of Age Amid the Glitter and Doom of ‘70s New York, discusses his early life in the up-and-coming art scene of New York and is an extraordinarily heartwarming and compassionate read. (I highly encourage you all to pick it up. It’s a good one.) Guy and I discuss the current state of fashion, avoiding burnout, the brands he admires, and how retail is evolving. We also unpack more of his recently published memoir, Do Something.
