Erich Thaler speaks openly about Stompbox, Scratch, D-CON, his early days in Spokane WA, how things went wrong, and recovery... #70

On this episode of Blowing Smoke with Twisted Rico, Erich Thaler remembers his early days in the Spokane WA music scene and the journey that brought him to Boston, where he found success with Stompbox, who landed a major label record deal with Columbia. In the early 90's Stompbox was one of the most popular bands in the Boston scene but things unraveled which led to some dark times for Thaler. He rebounded with the band D-CON but once that project disbanded moved on the California, got straight, and he rebuilt his life.   Music The Charms "So Pretty" Intro Music Stompbox "No Woods" Recorded February 3, 2021  by Nick Z.at New Alliance East in Somerville MA Support the podcast at patreon.com/twistedrico
