Ep 83: Cabaret Diversity Network

This interview with Christopher Renfurm was meant to be for Patrons on the Bluebells Forever Podcast Patreon page, but I want to share this with as many people as possible. Christopher Renfurm is the co founder of Cabaret Diversity Network with Hillary Sukhonos. The Mission of Cabaret Diversity Network- The Cabaret Diversity Network (CDN) is an online community which nourishes, celebrates, and supports the legacy of black, brown, and ethnic dancers in the genre of Cabaret. Josephine Baker is a huge inspiration! There have been numerous soloists and performers who have followed in her footsteps. We want to uplift our presence and also encourage the next generation of dancers by holding space for resources, conversation, and information about auditioning, training, and jobs in the biz. You can find us on Facebook, Instagram @cabaretdiversitynetwork and our website If you have any questions or would like to get I touch with us send us a message on our social media or by email Check out the Patreon Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see photos and updates

Om Podcasten

Join Sheri Lewis as she interviews Bluebell dancers past and present. Bluebell dancers are an elite cast of dancers, known for their statuesque presence, beauty and strong dance technique. Margaret Kelly, aka Miss Bluebell, created her group of iconic dances in the 1930’s for their first performance Follies Bergere. From there, she expanded her shows to the Lido de Paris and the Moulin Rouge. Through the decades Miss Bluebell Continued to offer incredible opportunities for dancers in Las Vegas, Monte Carlo, Hong Kong, Reno and touring shows. The days of glamour and travel for dancers have mostly faded away with the exception of the Lido de Paris which still pridefully showcases the Bluebell dancers and the history of The showgirl.
