BSI EDUCATION PODCAST - Supporting student research

Episode 8. Standards cover an extraordinarily wide range of issues. Some modernize established practice, while others work on the leading edge of emerging technologies. They get their authority by being developed through a rigorous consultation process which builds an expert consensus. To enrich its understanding, BSI often incorporates research into its standards strategies and standards development processes, including research at postgraduate level. In this episode we hear from BSI Head of Sector (Healthcare) Rob Turpin and UCL postgraduates Jenni O’Brien and Natalia Maj about how BSI supports and uses postgraduate research for standards development through its Student Research Programme. The BSI EDUCATION PODCAST is hosted by Matthew Chiles - Educational Development Manager at BSI, and Alan Sellers - Senior Compliance Manager at Dyson and Chair of BSI’s Young Professionals Advisory Panel.
