Bside Incoming: Devvul

Bside Incoming: Devvul This week brings us the very first Welsh instalment of the Bside podcast, almost entirely local productions presented by an accomplished disk jockey native to the pleasant green lands of Western Cymru: Devvul (Kiernan) Building upon his residencies with Bristol’s ‘Freedom of Govenrnment’ and Amsterdam’s ‘Radio Temp Nao Para’, Devvul has combined his passionate quest for music with filmography in his new project named ‘Fragments in Wax’. It’s an audio visual exploration into the depths of the 80s/90s archives with an enchanting aesthetic. With a welshed focused documentary of a similar calibre in the works… we’ll be keeping an eye out for that! https://www.instagram.com/fragmentsinwax/?hl=en This is a turbulent Bside ride with a fair bit of bizarre. Rare promo releases, new wave 80s synth vibes, indie rock, and eccentric electronic energy guaranteed to get you grooving. As always a thoughtfully curated insight into some much cherished wax. Om Podcasten

Bside podcasts DJ's showcase and speak a little about their favourite tracks from the B-side of their records. We endeavour to broadcast the best of the B-side: a bi-weekly invitation into the impressive record collections of some of our favourite selectors. An exploration into the the back-catalogues, the deepest depths, the darkest crevices of their collections. Returning with the spoils of this venture: their most cherished records and hidden gems, from the go-to club weapons to the rarely heard home-listening records, and everything in between. Music is for sharing. 'By the early sixties, the song on the A-side was the 'hit' song that the record company wanted radio stations to play. The B-side would contain less radio friendly and less popular tracks. In our eyes the B-side is a true reflection of the producers taste in music, there is more personality on that side of the record'.
