Ep. 11 James Wright (Overground)

Watch the show (and the previous 10)on facebook - www.facebook.com/BsidePodcasts/ Ep.11 James Wright (Overground) James A.K.A Wrisk arrived at the Bside headquarters last night loaded with a bag of his favourite records from his extensive collection. James showcased some lovely tracks from only the B-side, as well as sublime mixing. He has a lovely taste in the heavier side of dance music, and a great ear for bookings as proven with his night Overground. I have been looking forward to getting him on the series for a while now. Overground have been putting on some silly nights in Edinburgh over the last few years. From sold-out resident acid raves to huge bookings such as Mall Grab (well before he was as known as he is now) and Minor Science. Coming up they have booked Jensen Interceptor (who in my opinion is the best electro producer in the world just now) as well as Gesloten Cirkel. Enjoy.

Om Podcasten

Bside podcasts DJ's showcase and speak a little about their favourite tracks from the B-side of their records. We endeavour to broadcast the best of the B-side: a bi-weekly invitation into the impressive record collections of some of our favourite selectors. An exploration into the the back-catalogues, the deepest depths, the darkest crevices of their collections. Returning with the spoils of this venture: their most cherished records and hidden gems, from the go-to club weapons to the rarely heard home-listening records, and everything in between. Music is for sharing. 'By the early sixties, the song on the A-side was the 'hit' song that the record company wanted radio stations to play. The B-side would contain less radio friendly and less popular tracks. In our eyes the B-side is a true reflection of the producers taste in music, there is more personality on that side of the record'.
