Ep. 18 Hand-made

Watch the episode (and all previous live recordings) on Facebook, and follow to keep up with Bside news - www.facebook.com/BsidePodcasts/ Ahhhh, it feels good to be back home. After a string of international guests sending in mixes as well as recordings in Glasgow, the 18th episode of the Bside live series is back in Edinburgh. As always on Bside, the DJs were invited to showcase their record collection, limited to only playing B-sides. Our guests for this episode are the ever growing and exciting Edinburgh based trio, Hand-made. Hand-made have made a proper dent in the Edinburgh scene and beyond in the last year. They are Hectors go-to residents and have played alongside Levon Vincent, DJ Haus, Hammer and Telfort (to name a few) in multiple different venues. The mix sticks to Hand-made's characteristic warm n' sleazy Italo/Afro tracks that they are renowned for. Big thanks to Molly Hickey as always for the artwork. Om Podcasten

Bside podcasts DJ's showcase and speak a little about their favourite tracks from the B-side of their records. We endeavour to broadcast the best of the B-side: a bi-weekly invitation into the impressive record collections of some of our favourite selectors. An exploration into the the back-catalogues, the deepest depths, the darkest crevices of their collections. Returning with the spoils of this venture: their most cherished records and hidden gems, from the go-to club weapons to the rarely heard home-listening records, and everything in between. Music is for sharing. 'By the early sixties, the song on the A-side was the 'hit' song that the record company wanted radio stations to play. The B-side would contain less radio friendly and less popular tracks. In our eyes the B-side is a true reflection of the producers taste in music, there is more personality on that side of the record'.
