Making Friends With Your Emotions

We often try to combat our strong emotions by suppressing them or becoming overwhelmed by them. However, neither approach is helpful. The more we resist our emotions, the stronger they become, turning them into perceived enemies. In reality, emotions are not our foes; they are our teachers. Emotions are neither good or bad, they are just information. They arise for a reason, signaling that something is happening that requires our attention.
