Patient left pregnant after doctor failed to re-insert contraceptive device

Left with PTSD and depression and feeling demoralised and demeaned. That is the rollercoaster of emotions experienced by a patient who got pregnant and had an abortion after a Doctor failed to re-insert their contraceptive device. In 2021, Jessie went to a family planning clinic to have an old Jadelle contraceptive removed from their arm and replaced with a new one. But the Doctor did not put the new device in, despite specific instructions on file. They spoke to Lisa Owen.
