Thuy - Judgment, Peer Pressure and Medical Forms

Raise your hand if you ever fibbed a bit on the medical form, “How much do you drink a week?”  Envision me and my guest Thuy raising our hands.  Thuy is a heart healer, real estate investor, mother and light in this world. She radiates joy.Thuy didn't start socially drinking until 22 and even then she could have taken it or left it but the messages of “you have to drink to be fun” were loud and clear. Slowly over the years she started to consume a little more than she may have wanted. Earlier this year she posted that even with all her personal development work one of her goals was to NOT GIVE AN EFF… SOBER. And she did! In today’s episode we talk about the judgment that comes with drinking from both others and more importantly ourselves. How she never needed booze to have fun but how after years of drinking we tend to think so and how the aha that she was dependent on something to have fun was a catalyst for her change. How drinking is a form of self-sabotage and that it's often not the drink that does the most damage.  How being inclusive can feel like peer pressure and the importance of being truly conscious and aware of WHY you want the drink is her key to sober·ish living.  Follow Thuy and all her amazing work on links below. https://www.facebook.com/thuy.pham.374 https://www.instagram.com/thuyps119/ If you are interested in starting your sober·ish life, send me an email at holly@hollykrivo.com. Welcome to Sober·ish Uprising, a space where we share all versions of sobriety. We believe labeling sobriety as black and white is a limitation to those who know they want to do things differently and complete sobriety doesn’t work for them. On Sober·ish uprising we share sober·ish stories and the freedom that comes when we say no to booze. Hosted by Holly Krivokapich, a certified coach and former heavy drinker, who started a sober·ish journey in 2021 and her world has never been the same. www.soberishuprising.com
