17: LCD 'Sound Of Silver' with Al Doyle and Gabriel Szatan with Classic Album Sundays

Following on from their self titled debut and a collection of instant-classic singles, Sound Of Silver felt like LCD Soundsystem's first fully realised album. It would catapult James Murphy from being a mere walking encyclopaedia to a self-conscious and emotionally developed songwriter, capable of delivering hit after hit. We were delighted to welcome Hot Chip and LCD Soundsystem’s Al Doyle to a special event in London with Gabriel Szatan discussing life inside two of the finest electronic outfits in the world. Having released six albums, with Grammy and Mercury Prize nominations to show for it and an armful of crossover hits, Hot Chip have become one of the mainstays of the festival circuit worldwide through their colourful, whimsical approach to dance-pop.
