Your Next Listen - from Dave Cawley

A personal note from COLD host Dave Cawley: I can’t thank you enough for listening to COLD. We’re between seasons right now, but I’m dropping into the feed to let you know about a podcast you might like.   It’s the brand-new second season of The Letter, a show from my friend and colleague Amy Donaldson. Season 2 of The Letter is called “Ripple Effect.” It’s about a bizarre double murder back in 1982, where a restaurant manager and a laundry truck driver were both shot to death. The killer was quickly caught, but his story didn’t make sense to police or to the families of the men he killed. And without spoiling it, I can tell you there are some major twists.   I’ve watched and listened as Amy and co-writer Andrea Smardon have weaved candid, emotional stories about families affected by violence in both seasons of The Letter. They do true crime differently, getting in deep with the people whose lives are upended. In The Letter season 2, they explore how grief, anger, remorse, and forgiveness can even ripple outward across generations. It’s an impactful listen.   Please give The Letter season 2: Ripple Effect a try. You can find the show here or at theletterpodcast.com.
