The Reilly Roundtable – Alexandre Desplat on Working with Wes Anderson and If He’ll Ever Score a Star Wars Movie

Welcome to Episode 24 of The Reilly Roundtable! This week is a very special episode, a shorter one this time as Reilly geeks out over the moon welcoming in Oscar Winning Composer Alexandre Desplat! The Shape of Water composer talks about his latest movies with Isle of Dogs and The Sisters Brothers, plus what it was like getting the call to score The Shape of Water (after hearing Guillermo Del Toro’s pitch). We also touch on him dropping out of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and if he has any regrets. I also ask him if he has any interest on scoring a movie for Marvel or DC. This was one of the highlights of my career meeting the Maestro and I hope you enjoy. Remember to like and share this episode and give it the ole’ five star rating. The Reilly Roundtable is now on the 1 x 1 with Kristian Harloff Podcastone Feed and drops every Thursday!
