Being and Doing Human by Professor Peter Gilbert

In this podcast, Professor Peter Gilbert considers the importance of the spiritual dimension in human living in general and health and social care in particular. World philosophies and religions have always stressed the importance of the congruence of mind, heart, body and spirit, and yet modern life often seems ‘soul-less’ and ‘dispiriting’. He draws on the experience of people who have experienced mental distress, including his own, and also research evidence on the vital contribution of faith to mental well-being.
