In Global Alliances, CCP Wants Subordinates, Not Equals

There are signs of growing distrust in the alliance between Russia and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The two countries signed a “no limits” agreement around the war in Ukraine, and are moving to create a new security alliance similar to NATO. Yet the CCP seems to be concerned. Russia is playing the subordinate in the relationship, and as the two move forward, old tensions over who’s in charge seem to be emerging. We’ll discuss in this episode of Crossroads.
