Is Hong Kong Becoming the CCP’s New Tibet?

The fate of Hong Kong is becoming a focal point in the United Kingdom, where a British judge, who recently resigned from Hong Kong’s highest court, said the former British colony is becoming a totalitarian state under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The criticisms focus on the recent conviction of 14 political dissidents by CCP authorities, and come in the wake of recent CCP suppression in Hong Kong about discussions on the history of the Tiananmen Square massacre. The CCP controls several territories where it employs additional abusive policies as a way to maintain its authority, including in Xinjiang and Tibet. And the question is now growing regarding whether Hong Kong could also find itself under similar policies. We discuss in this episode of Crossroads.
