On January 16th, 2022, Irene Luevano called her oldest daughter to tell her that her boyfriend: Jorge Quintero Lara had stabbed her in the neck. Her family called Phoenix police in an attempt to track her down. After 5 days of searching, Irene's body was found, she was stabbed multiple times.
