"The Valentino of Rap" - An Episode In Memory of Kangol Kid

Today’s episode is in honor of my dear friend and brother, Kangol Kid, who just recently passed from his battle with colon cancer. Kangol was of course a legendary member of the groundbreaking hip-hop group, UTFO, who’s song Roxanne, Roxanne defined 1984 for me. But beyond that, Kangol was a great songwriter, incredible father, and an absolutely wonderful person who I’m so lucky to have called a friend. We pieced together the best of his episodes on the show for you all, so please enjoy and join me in remembering him fondly today.Rest well, Kangol. The world won’t be the same without your smile :)Today’s Sponsors:Amazon Music -  Go to Amazon.com/PETERS to try Amazon Music Unlimited FREE for THREE months! DraftKings Sportsbook- Download the DraftKings Sportsbook app now, use promo code PETERS, bet JUST $5 on any NBA team, and win ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS IN FREE BETS if they’re victorious. Papa & Barkley - Go to papaandbarkleycbd.com/peters for 20% off your first purchase. Om Podcasten

Real talk and real conversation just aren’t happening enough anymore. That’s what international comedy star, Russell Peters thinks, anyway. With his new podcast, Culturally Cancelled, Peters aims to keep it real by having conversations in his own backyard that allow his guests to feel at ease and unguarded. The first comedian ever to be offered a Netflix special, Peters aptly blends laugh-out-loud comedy with candid conversation as he chats it up with celebrity guests. While Culturally Cancelled will definitely host some of the biggest comedians in the business, it will also feature a truly eclectic mix of minds that sets this show apart from other comedy podcasts.
