Jessica Reed Kraus - Recently Republican | Why I Left The Democratic Party

Today on the Pretty Intense Podcast we have new friend, and independent journalist, Jessica Reed Kraus. Jessica came to the forefront of pop culture journalism when she famously covered the Jonny Depp/Amber Heard court case. Jessica's coverage of this court case skyrocketed her to an enormous following. This was great timing because Jessica lost her liberal audience when she challenged thoughts on the Covid Vaccine, and how Covid was handled in general. Jessica was excited to pick up this new audience that seemed to be sympathetic with her disillusionment with her once Democratic beliefs. Out of complete dismay for people who would vote for Donald Trump in the November 2016 election, Jessica began interviewing "Conservatives" to try to understand what they were thinking. What she found was far more surprising. Jessica found her beliefs landed closer to the Red side then the Blue. This cost Jessica even more audience, and even some family and friends, but Jessica decided that if she could not be honest with her craft, she no longer would want to do it. What Jessica found was a new audience. More popular then ever, we are excited to have the amazing Jessica Reed Kraus with us on the show today. We hope you enjoy meeting Jessica as much as we did.

Our guests will be from all aspects of life: They're going to be family, friends, celebrities, musicians, artists, experts and entrepreneurs. Sometimes people haven't necessarily been asked a certain question or maybe someone hasn't thought a certain way or even challenge themselves. And I feel like for me: I got that therapy through interviews. So, this podcast is going to be intense therapy! We're gonna go as deep as we can possibly go with people and learn what learn how they what they did, and how you can too. Join me for this deep dive...my only warning is, it could get Pretty Intense!
