trauma and sabr

Trauma is something that affects so many people, and specifically our communities suffer from it a lot. Be it by the places we come from, displacements, growing up with identity issues, PTSD, struggling parents, bullying, or any of the sort, trauma happens to the best of us.  In this episode, I lead us both on a reflection of trauma being at odds with our striving towards good character and sabr. How difficult it can be to manage the two, and how long term chronic trauma gives a new dimension of battling with maintaining good character and sabr in times of hardship, when your body just wants to act out of its rage.  May Allah grant our communities healing.
