In this video, I’ll share my initial thoughts on the upcoming Starlink IPO Starlink's goal is to cover Earth with high-speed, low-latency, and affordable internet access. According to current government documents, Starlink may consist of nearly 12,000 satellites by the end of 2027. “Right now, we are a private company, but Starlink is the right kind of business that we can go ahead and take public,” Shotwell reportedly said. “That particular piece is an element of the business that we are likely to spin out and go public.” Shotwell said two years ago “it will cost the company about $10 billion or more” to build the Starlink network.
