PREMIERE: Daniel[i] & Purl - Compensate [Whispering Signals]
Emotive, deep, soulful. A few of the descriptors that one can use to describe Daniel[i] and his body of music. Whether the sound is an ambient soundscape, or that of a thrilling techno story, the breadth, and quality of his releases are undoubtable. Today, the Aachen-based DJ and producer is joined by Purl, aka Illuvia, another incredible producer who has graced many a Delayed top 10 and curated list. The two combined is such a sublime pairing and we’re incredibly happy to premiere, ‘Compensate’ off their forthcoming EP, the third release under Daniel[i]’s own imprint, Whispering Signals. Coming in under the A2 slot in the four-track EP, Compensate draws from both producers’ mastery of downtempo, atmospheric production. Evoking visions of distant tundras swept by swirling winds. The air is crystal clear as a night sky filled with stars that shine down upon a lone traveler moving swiftly but surely through the lands to an unknown destination.
