Mantras, repetitive actions, as words, and sounds, all have a similar effect on one's body. To recenter and provide space for introspection. From the physical to mental the benefits ring true, all supported at the core by a steady framework of inhaling and exhaling. Expanding on these concepts, the latest compilation by French imprint ‘Just Breathe’ continues their devotion to experimental and avant-garde music. As the label states, ‘In Echoes, each track is conceived as a distinct resonance of a common breath. That breath is the label's core - a free space where different sensibilities meet, unconstrained by genre, yet guided by a clear vision: one of atmospheric, emotional, and deeply immersive music.’ Module X33 from label head, Möhne Seide begins with a heavy rhythmic base, the aptly named track filled to the brim with modularized textures that lend movement and a sense of unpredictability. Progressing on, drone-like melodies start to emerge that give space, and elevate the track to a crescendo of ethereal, melancholic voices.
