9: Murder: Ashley Ouelette

On February 9, 1999, 15 year-old sophomore Ashley Ouellette was dropped off at a friend’s home for a sleepover in Saco, Maine. Just before 4:00 am the next day, Ashley was found dead in the middle of a busy road. While she didn’t have any visible injuries, an autopsy concluded that she’d been strangled.  The State Police conducted a thorough investigation of Ashley’s murder. Unfortunately, they were never able to gather enough evidence to file charges. It’s been more than 24 years since Ashley’s murder, and authorities are still pursuing the people responsible… If you have any information about the murder of Ashley Ouellette, or the disappearance of Tony Torres, please call the Maine State Police at 207-624-7076. There is a $20,000 reward for both cases.  Editor: Shannon Keirce Research/Writing: Haley Gray and Anna Luria SUBMIT A CASE HERE: Cases@DetectivePerspectivePod.com SOCIAL Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/detperspective/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/detperspective FIND DERRICK HERE Twitter: https://twitter.com/DerrickL Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/DerrickLevasseur Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DerrickVLevasseur CRIME WEEKLY AND COFFEE Criminal Coffee Company: https://www.CriminalCoffeeCo.com Crime Weekly:  https://crimeweeklypodcast.com/shop
