The 23rd Annual Detroit Lions Kickoff Lunch

The Detroit Economic Club hosted the 23rd Annual Detroit Lions Kickoff Lunch and Fox 2’s Dan Miller and Jennifer Hammond led player and management roundtables to talk about the excitement they share for the upcoming season and the long-term vision for the team. Lions Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Quinn discussed building a roster to win now, while still having a long-term outlook.  Management talks each and every day about current and future player abilities. “'What can you do now?'” or 'What can you do a couple months from now?'” said Quinn. “So, we have general managers, we have a head coach who always have to have that long-term view.” New wide receiver Danny Amendola shared his season expectations and thoughts about being a Lion. “…and being here in Detroit, learning more about the city, I’ve become emotionally attached to what the city has in tradition and the history this city has been through”, said Amendola. “I want to fight hard for this city.”
