Join Andrew in today's bitesize podcast episode as the Dewing team are busy during a wet harvest. The pressure is on this week to get the crop dry and moving. Market report week for w/c Monday 7th of August. In this week’s market report, Andrew tries to be positive considering the bad weather. He discusses his observations about the quality of crops they’ve had coming into their Cantley and Alysham stores. Winter malting Barley has been good in general, 80% of the crop in Norfolk. With the damper weather in the rest of the world, especially the states, the crops look like they are going to be bigger over there so the mood in the states is low. it's gone below $5 on the Corn on the deck, corn in Chicago so the sentiment is slightly bearish. Russia is doing a deal potentially with India for 9 Million tonnes so Modi can have low food prices when it comes to his election. There’s grain moving out of Ukraine., they’ve got a better yield than what they thought. Which is going to seep into Europe and undermine the market like it did last year.
