Chats with Mark Meismer

This podcast is definitely one I have personally found extremely thought provoking and I left our conversation feeling so inspired, incredibly grateful for my job and of course to listen to someone as genuine and passionate as Mark. Our conversation is really real, open and honest as we divulge into many different topics which will really make many dancers and dance mums extremely proud of taking class and being part of the dance community.Mark has worked with huge stars such as Celine Dion, Madonna and many of the greats through the 90s commercial dance scene.Mark is now one of the biggest choreographers in LA and has a undeniable passion for teaching driven students of all ages and training backgrounds. We talk about how every teacher of any age can bring their own individual experience, passion and soul into each dancers performance. We talk about the importance of self belief, the ins and outs of working with the hardest working dancers in the industry and how intense their training and life style is. As dance does not just happen over night, dance is always evolving and it takes time, patience and a lot of fails to become a brilliant dancer. We also discuss how dance class has an enormous impact on students of all ages in so many positive ways as we talk about the cost of being a dancer but it all paying off in life in many ways. We talk about how many young dancers are becoming stronger more resilient people who can take rejection, cope with failure but can pick themselves up again to work harder to achieve their goals. Enjoy!

Om Podcasten

Hey I am Sarah, I run a dance school in warrington and I thought it would be the best time to really educate young dancers about the things I wish I would've been told, taught at school. The world is isolating and we are all staying home so now is the perfect time to listen and learn so much about the world, about ourselves and learn from the influential guests I had the pleasure of interviewing. I have interviewed huge names such as Krista Miller, Ricky Jinks, Lukas McFarlene, Sam Marks, Megan Bowers, Josh Wharmby and more. On the podcast I want to diversify and move away from societal norms and create a liberating, informative podcast. Topics include meditation, self care, sexuality, periods, veganism, sustainability, well being and how to take care of our minds at such a pivotal time.
