Our world is consumed with mindsets: growth, hustle, productivity, even spiritual mindsets. Different labels and packaging, but beneath them is often the same idea: make life about you. Build your image. Improve yourself for yourself. Chase your dreams. Become the hero of your own story. The gospel tells a different story. We are not heroes. We are not co-creators with the universe. We are sinners, dead in our sin, in need of a Savior. That savior is Jesus. Jesus said in Luke 9:23, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” The mindset of a disciple is shaped by the cross, surrendered to Jesus, focused on the Great Commission, and lived for the glory of God. Growth, discipline, and productivity are not idols of self-glory but surrendered tools to advance God’s Kingdom. That is why I created Disciple Mindset: to urge you to take sin seriously, take the gospel seriously, and embrace your calling to make disciples who make disciples.
