Battling IT Mediocrity

Episode #1 in Response to the below post on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6363433601949855744 I.T. guys, you are undervalued And no one cares. Stop with the pity party. You’re expendable. No one cares about compliancy. Most have no clue what you know. 70% of businesses are out of compliance. Stop crying about it, and save us. What are you going to do? Businesses care about Making money NPs care about the budget. So what are you going to do? Lead. You are going to lead. Start thinking like a leader. Speak in terms of effecting the budget, driving sales, saving labor, creating efficiencies, and doing more with less. Get in the head of the cfo and ceo... become the cto. I see it everyday, IT Directors are saying they need this and that, but they get little. I’m saying this because you are one of the most important departments thats affects the business. I’ve helped numerous IT Managers put together winning presentations and business arguments for the betterment of making money... Stop with the, “this is how it should be done.” Sell the money, build the business, then everyone gets what they want. Because the business wins.
