On Day 78, US correspondent Mark Stone is joined by former UK ambassador to the US, Sir Nigel Sheinwald. He was the British representative to the US between October 2007 and January 2012 and has dealt with both Republican and Democrat administrations. On this episode, the pair discuss whether Sir Keir Starmer has taken the right approach with President Trump and if it's now time to notch up the tone and tempo. Sir Nigel also reflects on his time in Washington DC and talks about the choice of Peter Mandelson as the ambassador to guide the UK through the Trump administration.
