How (and When) will Tyler Seguin return to the Dallas Stars lineup? | DLLS Stars Podcast

Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin last played an NHL game on December 1, 2024 vs. Winnipeg. Three days later, Stars general manager Jim Nill announced that Seguin would undergo surgery on December 5th to repair a left side FAI (femoral acetabular impingement) and the left side hip labrum. The press release stated that Seguin was expected to miss four-to-six months. Seguin was enjoying a fantastic start to the 2024-25 season, scoring 20 points (9 goals, 11 assists) in 19 games and a stellar +14 rating, while averaging 16:13 of ice time; his 1.05 points-per-game average was his highest in a decade. Recently, Seguin has been skating non-contact drills with the team and he has now been cleared to ramp up his activity as he closes in on returning to action. Join the DLLS Stars podcast (Sean Shapiro, Craig Ludwig, Owen Newkirk & John Andersen) as they take a closer look into Seguin’s next few steps towards recovery and how Dallas will be able to activate Seguin off Long Term Injured Reserve prior to the start of the playoffs.
