Stars winless skid reaches six, Red Wings beat Dallas 6-4 | DLLS STARS POSTGAME
For the second straight game, Stars captain Jaime Benn briefly celebrated scoring his 400th career NHL goal, before having it taken away, as the Dallas Stars lost to the Detroit Red Wings 6-4 on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena. Benn thought he scored a first period goal, only to have it credited (correctly) to rookie defenseman Lian Bichsel during the first intermission. Evgenii Dadonov scored his 20th goal of the season in the second period, along with a Colin Blackwell shorthanded goal, as the Stars led 3-2 after 40 minutes. However, the Red Wings scored three-straight goals to open the third period and then added an empty net goal after Wyatt Johnston’s 33rd goal of the season cut the lead to one.
