Dog Support System w/ Rachel Herman

Rachel Herman founded the PAWS NY nonprofit in 2008 to help provide crucial everyday pet care services to New York City residents in need. The non-profit organization recognizes the importance for dogs to stay with their loving pet parents, keeping animals out of shelters. This is done by supporting vulnerable groups dealing with obstacles such as health issues or financial hardships with dog walking, veterinary care, and food. This way, their clients stay happy together with their pets. The PAWS NY volunteers also bond with clients over their pets and provide a vital human connection, too.  Stay tuned for the ending, where a PAWS client named Joseph Paul speaks to how he has been able to stay with his dog Bonnie and provide valuable company to each other. Please consider donating to or volunteering for PAWS NY - https://pawsny.org For more information about the episode, guest, and featured social media or links: www.dogsavethepeople.com/episodes/rachel-herman - If you liked this episode, then please support our Independent podcast production, go to www.buymeacoffee.com/dogpeople to buy us a (virtual) coffee as a one-time donation or recurring monthly membership.
