Reshaping the Latino Narrative

Latinos make up roughly 18 percent of the U.S. population, yet remain marginalized in many ways. We speak to media change makers Maria Hinojosa and Guy Garcia to explore how their work has broadened the narrative about Latinos in the national conversation. What progress has been made, and what obstacles remain? Hinojosa is the founder of Futuro Media Group (Latino USA, America by the Numbers, In the Thick), and Garcia is an author (The New Mainstream, The Decline of Men, Swarm) and entrepreneur (EthniFacts). Special thanks to Connor Button, who created our theme music, and to Warren Lawrence for his control room finesse. Hinojosa es la fundadora de Futuro Media Group (Latino USA, America by the Numbers, In the Thick), y Garcia es autor (The New Mainstream, The Decline of Men, Swarm) y conocido emprendedor (EthniFacts).
