Nadiya Hussain

In this episode we talk to TV chef and author Nadiya Hussain MBE, winner of the UK’s Great British Bake Off 2015. Nadiya became a national treasure overnight when her acceptance speech on the final of the Bake Off touched hearts all across the country: 'I'm never gonna put boundaries on myself ever again. I’m never gonna say I can’t do it. I’m never gonna say ‘maybe’. I’m never gonna say, ‘I don’t think I can.’ I can and I will.' Since then, Nadiya has made several BBC TV series that have been released on Netflix, making her a household name all over the world. She has also written three cookbooks, a novel, a memoir and a children’s book about dealing with anxiety, something which is close to her heart. In this episode Nadiya opens up about her anxiety ‘monster’, falling in love with baking in a no-bake home and how her parents keep her feet well and truly on the ground. We’ll also be asking Nadiya the question on everyone’s mind: does pineapple belong on a pizza?   You can find out more about Nadiya’s latest projects here.   Sponsors: We’d like to thank our sponsors Yamaha for supporting the podcast.
