How to start a New World

When we play TTRPGs we need a place to set the adventure in and often it's the GMs job to keep track of and play the world around the Player Characters, but how do we make sure to have a world to set the adventures in that feels like it allows that adventure to flourish? That is what we are discussing today. We talk about the process of worldbuilding and especially how you can start when building your first one or what steps you can take to improve your current world. We talk about the abstraction of worldbuilding and why we even do it in the first place and how that knowledge will help you to focus your worldbuilding on what really matters while leaving enough room for the little details you enjoy. Our Midroll Music is "Midnight Tale" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Our Outro Music is "Ascending the Vale" Kevin MacLeod (imcompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/You can find us on the Web under these Links:https://www.doubledm.com/https://twitter.com/DoubleDMpodhttps://www.instagram.com/doubledmpod/?hl=dehttps://ko-fi.com/doubledmIf you want to reach out to us via E-Mail use: doubledmpod@gmail.com Hosted on Acast.
