And I highly recommend listening to the entire episode.Today I am joined by Dr Justin Sung. Dr Justin is a former medical doctor turned to learn coach. He's passionate about helping people use genuinely effective learning strategies that work for everyone, not just a few high achievers. Unlike in medicine where your practice has to be tied to research, he realised how the common practices by schools and students weren't as evidence-based as they were hyped to be.He also saw how this directly caused stress, demotivation, procrastination, and anxiety for students who kept putting in effort and didn't see results. Since 2011, Justin has worked with over 10,000 students across over 100 countries. He's the co-founder of iCanStudy, an organisation that specialises in learning skills, and is involved in novel research at Monash University, looking at the effectiveness and efficiency of learning strategies. In this episode we cover his journey in becoming a doctor, what it was like when he quit medicine, the different types of learning and how we can learn effectively. his opinions on the modern education system, growing to 100k on Youtube and much much more.Support the show Hosted on Acast. Om Podcasten

I started the Driven Young Podcast as a way to help educate and inspire the younger generation. There are plenty of amazing podcasts out there but I find very few tailors their content to those in high-school and uni. Even the ones that claim they do seem to go off track and fail to keep their message clear and simple for the younger generation to understand.I believe our world is changing so fast, the current education system can’t keep up and is left teaching us old and outdated skills no longer relevant in the workplace. This podcast explores what I believe should have been taught in school and aims to help people realise the world is different from when their parents grew up and we must make relevant decisions based on the world we live in currently not the world people used to live in
