Slam Dunc #157 - We need to get better at celebrating success in New Zealand
My old school, Westlake Boys High, have won rugby’s World Schools Festival in Thailand. I'm so pleased for them but in New Zealand we can sometimes be reluctant to celebrate our successes publicly, be it sporting, business or otherwise. Does the 'Tall Poppy' syndrome still exist in Kiwi culture? Should we be shouting louder about our successes?
