World Health Day: Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures

World Health Day (today) is kicking off a year-long campaign on maternal and newborn health titled, “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures.” It urges governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being. 80% of maternal deaths are preventable. I was invited to be on my friend's podcast, Instigating Women + Friends, to discuss ectopic pregnancy and the importance of this campaign. I share in my intro that the primary recording is from her podcast. An ectopic pregnancy is life-threatening and happens when a fertilized egg implants outside of the uterus. Enjoy our real and honest conversation. Thank you, World Health Organization, for choosing this topic for this year's campaign. I urge everyone to share their stories - as long as you're comfortable.❤️ If you're finding yourself experiencing an ectopic pregnancy or trying to conceive following an ectopic pregnancy, consider joining my online and exclusive chat! 🔗: https://www.ectopicpregnancysupport.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ectopicpregnancysupport/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ectopicpregnancysupport
