Heterotopy

Heterotopy is a term coined by the French philosopher Michel Foucault to indicate "those spaces that have the particular characteristic of being connected to all the other spaces, but in such a way as to suspend, neutralize or invert the set of relations that they themselves designate, they reflect or mirror ». The mirror is, for example, heterotopic, we see ourselves where we are not, in an unreal space that opens virtually behind the surface but which, at the same time, is an absolutely real place, connected to all the space that surrounds it.
