EP56: Alan Rankine

Today’s exciting episode of Electronically Yours with Martyn Ware features an incredibly talented old friend, Alan Rankine from the legendary band The Associates, which he co-founded with the brilliant Billy Mackenzie. Alan’s talent for arranging and producing (and his guitar and keyboard skills) helped to create 3 of the greatest albums of the post punk age – The Affectionate Punch, Fourth Drawer Down and most significantly their greatest album Sulk. Alan and Billy’s mutual love, humour and respect was evident for all to see. After they split in 1982, Alan went on to become a highly successful producer and composer of many solo projects, up to the current day. Ladies and Gentlemen – the Associate himself, Alan Rankine… If you can, please support the Electronically Yours podcast via my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/electronicallyours
