#32- A funky poem that petitions for freedom from clasps

In this episode, I read "The Lime Green Clasp" by Finuala Dowling, a poet of South African origin. I like her modern, light yet poignant collection and today I have been reading from "Pretend You Don't Know Me". This lilting verse is an ode to both voyeurism and beauty, often hard to achieve. And while at it, it paints a vivid picture and makes a compelling case for women to be able to swing free. I recommend the whole book, but get a taste for Finuala's talent through this introduction of a poem. You will never look at lime green the same way again. Listen in!
