Richard Hopkins is an EA Companion. He left school at 16 to work in Formula One which he saw “formula one as a bit of an avenue to make something of myself.“ And he has.  Now Richard is a Professor of Practice at UNSW and is training the engineers of the future on keep up with the innovations that are regularly happening. “What we don't want to do is create engineers that then have another further 12 months of onboarding in the workplace to familiarize themselves with that technology”  Richard discusses how universities and industry can work together to ensure we a training our future workforce to be up to date with the technology they will be asked to work with.  This is a podcast about the engineering challenges that are facing today’s society.These are our Engineering Heroes.
