Ep. 29 - 2 practices that help me manage the signs of a depressive episode | Moments with Marian
Here are two practices that I have discovered that help me manage when I feel an episode of depression reappearing in my life. Ever since I experienced a depressive episode for the first time I have had this fear of it coming back. Recently I started to experience similar emotions and took action to avoid ending at the lowest point I once was. With the help of my therapist and introspection, I have learned to identify the signs and manage my emotions to release them and not feel overwhelmed by them. Feeling connected and being able to express who I am has been a huge part of managing and getting through these rough moments, not only surviving but getting stronger every time. If you are feeling alone and overwhelmed please ask for help! The new dialing code to connect with the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 988. Here you can connect with people who are struggling with behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) concerns as soon as possible, 24/7. The contents of this episode come only from experience and do not replace the guidance of medical professional help. Love, Marian :)
