Everything AI in Travel - REWIND with Shie Gabbai from AskLayla (Roam Around)
In the second of our REWIND series as we relaunch all episodes onto Spotify, we go back to the incredible week of crisis at OpenAI where founder Sam Altman was sacked, reinstated and then had the board sacked! What a time. I was lucky that week to be catching up with Shie Gabbai for Roam Around (since acquired) who was founder at one of the hottest AI startups in travel at that moment. The problem however was that Gabbai was reliant on OpenAI's API for his own business. Gabbai beautifully navigated his was through this period as we talk about on this chat, leading to the business being acquired just a short time after.
